For more than 15 years, Leelavastram has worked behind the scenes of international fashion—transforming ideas into beautifully handcrafted garments and commercially considered collections.

An ancient craft, continually reimagined.
Zardozi—also written Zar-douzi—is an elaborate form of hand embroidery with Persian roots. It achieved extraordinary prominence in the Indian subcontinent through Mughal patronage, reaching a celebrated height during Emperor Akbar’s reign in the late 16th century.
Historically, artisans worked with pure gold and silver wires and even gold leaf. Contemporary zardozi often combines metal wires with gold- or silver-toned finishes, silk threads, beads, sequins and crystals—preserving the richness of the technique while adapting it for modern couture.

IMPORTANT ORDER INFORMATION
01Payment & ShippingView details
Payment options
- International Visa and Mastercard payments are processed in US dollars.
- Bank or wire transfer is also accepted; banking details are supplied with the proforma invoice.
- Single-piece, single-model or single-design orders require 100% advance payment.
- For multi-piece, sample and bulk orders, the standard schedule is 50% advance and 50% upon completion, unless otherwise stated in the quotation.
Order confirmation
- After the design, sizing, materials, price and specifications are finalised, we issue a proforma invoice by email or WhatsApp.
- Payment against that invoice confirms acceptance of the agreed order details and terms. Production begins after funds are received.
Production & delivery
- As our pieces are custom-made and hand embroidered, production normally requires at least 30–45 days. The confirmed timeline may vary with design complexity and quantity.
- We ship worldwide to physical addresses; P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses are not accepted.
- Orders may be shipped through your nominated courier or one arranged by Leelavastram. Shipping is charged at actual cost.
- Once dispatched, an order cannot be cancelled, diverted or sent to a different address. Courier delays, local customs duties, taxes and import charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
All disputes are subject to Agra, India jurisdiction.
02Refund & CancellationView details
Custom-made order policy
Every sample and production order is developed to the individual client’s design, measurements and material requirements. Raw materials and artisan time are committed specifically to that project once the order is confirmed.
Changes to a confirmed order
If you need to request a change, contact us by email or WhatsApp within 24 hours of receiving your order confirmation. Any change is subject to feasibility and to whether sourcing or production has already begun. Please review every design, size, material and order detail carefully before making payment.
Sizing & customisation
Built for the fit your customer expects.
We support standard and custom measurements from petite to tall and sizes 0–36W. Necklines, sleeves, hemlines, embroidery placement and construction details can be adapted to your approved specification.
